The Bee is tired. She is humming back to her hive as it is getting colder. She can not think clearly. Just wishing for a hot cup of honey and sitting on the sofa. She enters the hive smelling cinnamon and cloves from a cake fresh out of the oven. The candles are on in the sitting room a bit later after having a comfy rose bath. A piece of cake waiting for her and her most favourite cup with hot honey. Ahhhhh the sofa. There is a little screen on the other side of the room showing Ivy Joyand she loses herself into fairy tales and fables.

The Bee ist muede. Sie summt in ihren Bienenkorb zurueck als es kaelter wird. Sie kann nicht klar denken. Wuenscht sich nur eine heisse Tasse Honig auf dem Sofa. Sie betritt den Bienenkorb und riecht den Duft von Zimt und Nelken von einem frischgebackenen Kuchen. Die Kerzen sind im Wohnzimmer an, in das sie zurueckkehrt nach einem angenehmen Rosenbad. Ein Stueck Kuchen und heisser Honig aus ihrer Lieblingstasse erwartet sie. Aaahhhhh das Sofa. Auf der anderen Seite des Raumes ist ein kleiner Fernseher, der  Maerchen.com zeigt und sie verliert sich darin.

Aw I love Stumble upon Today it lead me to a foodie blog called Food in my Beard. At first I thought: “yuk that can not be a good foodie blog!” But I had a look anyway and was positively surprised:

I found really creative recipes like Lasagna Timpano.  The author and his family has a tradition of making a meal before going to a show and relating the meal to the group or show they are watching. This one relates to Tune-yards who apparently have a lot of vocal and instrumental layering in their music (you find some clips at the bottom of “Food in my beards” blog post). Their actual homepage is kind of stripy so the idea fits perfectly in my opinion. I love that idea to connect food with your daily life so that one really made me read more.

The recipe is a Lasagne with loads of different foods in its layers. Unfortunately for my family and me it is not vegetarian but as we are creative we just leave the meat out and fill it up with something else. I think that is what the blog author would like as well as he writes in one of his interviews on the “about me page“, that moving from the States to Bermuda gave the family more time to cook but they also have to improvise more as the quality of vegetables ect are not always good.

The Blog shows pictures of every step of the way to a delicious looking meal and even have a section with basic recipes that the author uses quit often. A great help for starting to cook. It gives links to other great Foodie pages and has a facebook page as well.

Well if you are into food and cooking and like it creatively: Food in my Beard is the place for you!

Stumble upon hat mich heute zu einer englischsprachigen Foodie-Seite gefuehrt aber leider haben sie so gut wie keine deutschsprachigen Seiten. So habe ich das gute alte Google befragt und das gab mir Blogfood.de, eine Seite mit kreativen Rezepten und Hintergrundinformation zu allem, was mit Essen zu tun hat.
Zum Beispiel erklaren sie in ihrem Blogpost Franzoesischer Ziegenkaese mit Feigen, wo der Lavencay herkommt und wie er schmeckt. Was mich besonders gefreut hat, ist die Tatsache, dass hier auch vegetarische Rezepte zu finden sind.

Well I am running out of time: Somehow I got a bad fit of writers block in the morning. I did not try to procrastinate but just went on with it. So half of the day went to find a blog that is worth writing about. There are so many out there – really there are! Then blogger decided to make trouble and I was not really up to telling them what was going wrong. It really worn me out today. And then I ended up on this one

I am not an apple or iphone user. I am not a devoted fan of Steve Jobs (neither real nor fake). But what this guy has to say is food for thought. Please go, have a look and make up your own mind because I have to go and buy some Pink Ladies !

Mir rennt die Zeit davon: Hatte am Morgen einen wahnsinnig grossen Anfall von Schreibblockade. Hab mich aber davon nicht vom Arbeiten abbringen lassen. Habe nur den halben Tag damit verschusselt, einen lesenswerten englischen Blog zu finden. Dann hat blogger mich nicht schreiben lassen und ich hatte wirklich gar keine Lust denen zu erzaehlen, was hier schief lief. Aber zu meiner enormen Erleichterung habe ich mich an eine Krise erinnert.

Nein nicht irgendeine Krise! Kri-se Karikaturist mit Wort und Stift natuerlich! Was?! Du kennst sie noch nicht??? Na dann aber wirklich schnell hin und nachsehen. Ich habe naemlich keine Zeit mehr! Muss los zu einer Krisensitzung !

introducing: Burro Hall/ Darf ich vorstellen: Literatur Blog

Burro Hall is a humour Blog of an American journalist living in Queretaro Mexiko. It started with a series of funny pictures as comments on actual or not actual  occurences There is this really ugly dog in the arms of George Bush or King Kong or floating in the sky. But the one  I love the most is where it sits on Sam’s piano who is playing for Rick Blaine in the film Casablanca (and yes he does NOT ask “play it again, Sam”! That was actually the Woody Allen Film). The blog soon develops in humour entries about anything Mexico and America. It is really funny to read even though my humour is a different one so I do not understand all of them. “Well though”  I would say ) Definitely worth a look!

Literatur Blog – Von LeserInnen fuer LeserInnen ist ein oesterreichischer Blog auf dem gelesen und darueber bereichtet und Termine zum Thema weitergegeben wird. Man kann Buchbesprechungen nach Themen oder nach Autoren suchen und findet jede Menge Termine rund ums Buch.  Auf den ersten Blick habe ich viele Buchbesprechungen von oesterreichischen Autoren gefunden, was ich sehr interessant fand. Habe noch nicht viele gelesen, um ehrlich zu sein. Aber alles in allem findet man Buecher von ueberallher und aus allen Genres. Definitiv einen Besuch wert!

Diary of a Dreamer

Eine junge Berlinerin schreibt. Sie schreibt Gedichte und Fantasy und macht sich Gedanken darueber, was in der weiteren und naeheren Welt so passiert. Sie sagt ueber sich selbst, dass sie naiv genug ist, Optimistin zu sein. Ihre Worte moegen manchmal naiv klingen aber sie treffen immer ganz genau den Kern des Geschehens.
Ich denke, sie drueckt aus, was viele von uns denken und wuenschen, sich aber nicht mehr trauen zu aeussern, um nicht nicht “naiv” zu erscheinen. Ich sage ueber sie:” Sie ist nicht naiv genug, sie ist mutig genug Optimistin zu sein und die Dinge beim Namen zu nennen!”

Ha… a new project/ Ha …. eine neues Projekt

Writing a blog daily and be constantly inspired is a tough job.My answer to that problem is “set yourself a project!”
I do not consider my last one “visions for new world” very successful but it was fun and that is the main thing really. Well I try another one and it is called:

There are so many great blogs out there! I want to have a closer look on some of them (well I won’t run out of material very soon anyway!) and introduce them to you. But bear with me. It will start next Tuesday. Could not decide yet with which to start )

Jeden Tag an einem blog zu schreiben und immer inspiriert zu sein, ist ein harter Job. Meine Antwort darauf ist “Mach Dir ein Projekt!”
Ich glaube nicht, dass mein letztes “Visionen fuer eine neue Welt!”, sehr erfolgreich war aber es hat Spass gemacht und das ist die Hauptsache! Tja, ich versuche ein neues Projekt und es heisst

“Darf ich vorstellen:”
Es gibt so viele grossartige Blogs da draussen! Ich moechte einen naeheren Blick auf einige werfen (ich werde ja auf alle Faelle genuegend Material fuer einige Zeit haben) und sie Euch vorstellen. Aber habt bitte Geduld mit mir. Das Projekt startet naechsten Dienstag. Konnte mich fuer keinen entscheiden )
